It is a great pleasure for me to serve as patron of the European Senior Bowling Championships, ESBC 2025. I warmly welcome you all to Helsinki and to this event.
As a competitive athlete, I learned that true championship is built on years of determined training, perseverance and love for the sport. These are precisely the qualities that you, experienced bowlers from across Europe, represent when you gather to compete and enjoy each other's company.
Senior sports are an important part of a vibrant and active society. They encourage people to exercise, strengthen social networks and remind us that you can experience peak moments at any age. You are role models for younger generations, because the joy of exercise knows no age limits.
I wish all competitors success on the lanes and, above all, enjoyable moments together and bowling.
